United Begins Service To Guadalajara From Los Angeles

Continental AirlinesUnited Airlines has announced a daily nonstop service between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Guadalajara, Mexico (GDL) operated by its Continental Airlines unit. Service will begin 3 May 2011.

The airline says Flight CO672 will depart Los Angeles at 8:20 a.m. daily, arriving in Guadalajara at 1:15 p.m. The return leg will be carried out as Flight CO673 which is scheduled to depart Guadalajara at 2:10 p.m. daily, arriving in Los Angeles at 3:30 p.m. A Boeing 737-800 aircraft will serve the Los Angeles – Guadalajara route with seating for 160 customers (16 first class & 144 economy).

“We appreciate United’s and Continental’s support of Mexico, which is celebrating 300 years of history, culture and traditions,” said Jorge Gamboa Patron, regional director-West Coast, Mexico Tourism Board. “Now, thanks to United and Continental, more people will be able to visit Guadalajara.”

United says there will also be new service from San Francisco (SFO) on 9 June 2011.
