Direct Air Suspends Flights

Posted on 13 March 2012

Direct Air, an airline self-described as “… an indirect air carrier providing public charter air flights, and offering all- inclusive vacation, golf, and entertainment packages,” has suspended all flights. The airline’s website says Direct Air “… finds it necessary to suspend flight operation from Tuesday, March 13, 2012 until May 15, 2012. This decision was made to address operational matters.”

Published reports claim the airline failed to pay a fuel bill along with fees due to aircraft handling service providers and FAA-mandated passenger facility charges.
